The vehicles of tourists who went out for tourism due to the last four days of holidays and at the same time the vehicles of employees and students who went to work on Wednesday came face to face on Kalyan-Shilphata road in Palawa Chowk area from seven o’clock on Thursday morning. Poor planning by the contractor
According to the villagers of Katai, Nilje area, the contractor of Shilpata road work is not paid on time and he takes out his anger on the commuters in such a way that the work on the road begins. He started this work even knowing that if concreting work is done in Palawa Chowk area, there will be traffic jam. If this work is done, it is necessary to provide an alternative route and then the contractor should work, said the villagers. MSRDC authorities have no control over this work. The contractor is arbitrary. Passengers are suffering from the problem.

Left from Dombivli at eight in the morning. Even at 10 o’clock, our vehicles have not gone beyond Katai Chowk. Whether passengers are being considered while working on roads or not. Whether there is coordination between the contractor of this road and the controlling officer on it or not. That the construction of Shilphata road is going on only to trap the passengers. – Swati Pandey, Senior Official
