Nagpur, Pune : This year, Vidarbha, which was waiting for heavy rains for a long time, was lashed by rains. Vihirgaon, about 22 km from Nagpur, was submerged due to heavy rain overnight on Tuesday. As water entered 20 to 22 slums here, the disaster management team pulled them out by boat. At the same time, part of the 300-year-old Shiva temple at Bhaldarpura in the city collapsed on the neighboring houses, injuring five people including a six-month-old baby. A youth was swept away in Damayanti river at Morshi in Amravati district. The name of the deceased is Abhijit Vaidya.
Nagpur was hit hard by heavy rain on Tuesday. Five people were injured and admitted to Mayo Hospital after a part of a Shiva temple collapsed in the city. Vani taluka of Yavatmal district has again caused havoc due to heavy rain. River Wardha has crossed the danger level and six villages have been cut off, while seven routes have been closed.

Konkan, Strong in western Maharashtra

In Mohadi town of the district, a drain near the Chandeswari temple has flooded, and the road adjacent to the drain has also been flooded.
